BlackHat Arsenal, Here I Come!

Another update is I got accepted to present at Black Hat Arsenal in Las Vegas this year, which I’m super excited about! If you’re not familiar with Arsenal, it’s a place set up off in the vendors area where people who develop new tools can present them, and it has to be like open source, etc.

So basically, several years ago I spoke at Black Hat and wrote a small Python tool called “Chasing Your Tail,” and it was to help tell if you were being followed by using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth signals, etc. It blew up way bigger than I thought – I got featured in Wired magazine and more.

The tool needed some love – it needed an update in a very, very bad way. There’s a lot of extra functionality to add in there too, and so I basically, using the help of AI obviously, wrote an updated version that’s cleaner. It still needs some functionality added in, and I submitted that for Black Hat Arsenal, so I’m very happy that it got accepted.

I’m looking forward to presenting there. I always have a good time at Black Hat no matter what I’m doing – speaking, etc., and so I’m sure this year will be no different. Now I’ve got some functionality that I’ve got to add in before Black Hat Arsenal to make sure that my tool does what I said it was going to do. Thankfully, AI will no doubt help me out quite a bit with that!
