Yesterday we talked about Just Bare chicken as a cheat code for healthy eating. Today, let me share maybe the ultimate food cheat code: Greek yogurt.
I get it from Costco in two forms. First, the Oikos cups with different flavors – great snack by itself, but even better when mixed with Costco’s Quaker granola (the one with raisins and clusters). Using about a third cup of granola makes a really nice parfait. The macros aren’t perfect, but way better than most snacks we’d usually grab.
The real game-changer is the giant tub of plain Greek yogurt. Now, I wouldn’t eat this straight, but here’s where it gets interesting – remember that ranch dressing I mentioned yesterday? Here’s what I do: take a small glass bowl, add Greek yogurt, mix in ranch dressing seasoning (it’s basically zero calories), throw in some peppercorn, and add just enough water to get the consistency right. Stir it up, put a lid on it, and store it in the fridge.
This morning I had four Just Bare spicy strips with this homemade ranch. Tastes amazing, but instead of unhealthy ranch, you’re basically eating Greek yogurt. The macros are incredible.
Greek yogurt might be the ultimate food cheat code for having things that taste good while keeping decent macros.
